What is the weather like in July in Belfast?
The average high and low in Belfast is 65°F (18.3°C) and 55°F (12.8°C). Please note that the weather can be unpredictable so bring a jacket and layers.
What to pack?
Only one large suitcase and one smaller piece of checked luggage per person is permitted on group coach transport due to space restrictions. Wheeled luggage is useful even though you will not have to move it far while on tour. As a general guideline, your suitcase should weigh less than 50 lbs. and measure less than 30 x 21 x 11 inches. Airlines have their own regulations; please check your airlines baggage policy before departing for Ireland. Travel light, dress comfortably and pack easy care items. Dressing in layers provides the most comfort as you can shed or add items if temperatures fluctuate. Don’t forget essentials such as a light raincoat and sunglasses, comfortable walking shoes, waterproof clothing for outdoor activities, an umbrella and sunscreen (the sun might not seem very bright, but it is still important to protect your skin). Ireland in general is a casual destination. Comfortable, smart casual clothes are ideal for daytime touring or most evening dining. Ensure that you keep all essential items in your hand baggage – these include your passport, your own flight/ travel tickets, money, travel vouchers, prescription medication, your insurance details and an ample supply of vital medicines. Never pack these in your suitcase. You may find a money belt, worn under clothing, useful when travelling.
Consider packing the following items:
-
Comfortable walking shoes
-
An all-weather, mid-length water resistant or water proof coat with good hood
-
A folding umbrella
-
Workout clothes or a swimsuit – many hotels offer gyms and spas
-
Travel adapters and voltage converters for electronic devices and chargers

Do I need any special documents for this trip?
As of January 2025, all visitors to the UK and Northern Ireland are required to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter the country. Applications must be completed at least 3 business days prior to departure, but we recommend completing this at least a month in advance should any issues occur (by June 13th). You are responsible for submitting the applications and paying the £16 application fee. Please visit the ETA website to apply. You will also need your passport for airport arrival and departure.
